Car 'toast' after crashing into house in West Auckland

Fire crews are at a property in West Auckland tonight after a vehicle caught fire after crashing into a house.

Emergency services are at Ginders Dr, in Massey, after initial reports of a house on fire.

Northern fire communications shift manager Colin Underdown said there were no injuries, but the car was well involved when they arrived just after 10.30pm.

"The car is pretty much toast,'' he said.

"We were called to a car [versus] house...but there are no injuries.''

Underdown said just after 11pm that fire fighters were still at the scene investigating the incident and circumstances.

It is not known whether the property sustained any significant damage.
