The Whangarei Liquor Centre on Maunu Rd was targeted on Wednesday evening for the third time in the past four years, and a former Mount Maunganui College teacher is sentenced to over five years following charges of unlawful sexual connection with male students. These are just two of the headlines around the regions today.

The one minute and 15 second ordeal of three men with firearms and a knife threatened workers in a Whangarei liquor shop.

Former teacher, Kairau Ngahau, has been jailed for five years and nine months after past sexual assault on students whom attended Mount Mauganui College.

After 18 years of running Horse of the Year show, previous event manager, Kevin Hansen claims his company is owed bonuses.

The Community Oral Health Service has been running a drop-in dental clinic for school students to get regular check-ups on their dental health.
