A body found in a Franz Josef workshop is that of the owner, Clive Raymond Jenkins.

The 40-year-old Franz Josef man's body was discovered in the Franz Josef Mechanical workshop after an incident on September 13, where Jenkins flattened the building with a bulldozer then set it alight.

Jenkins fought with his partner before the incident.

Locals say he was a popular and hardworking mechanic who snapped, taking his frustrations out on his own property using the heavy equipment before destroying it all in a spectacular blaze.

His body was later found inside.

His death has been referred to the coroner.
