Tauranga is set to get a huge new multiplex cinema, and more than $3 million worth of items is frozen by police in the Bay of Plenty. These are just two of the stories making headlines around the regions today.

Tauranga is about to get a huge new five-theatre multiplex cinema with more than 1000 seats.

More than $3 million of property, cars, cash and other assets has been frozen in the Bay of Plenty under a contentious law used to target gangs.
