Kaimai School kids get an up close experience with an Olympic gold medal, and jury members are deliberating the fate of three Northlanders on serious drug charges. These are just two of the stories making headlines around the regions today.

It's not every day you get the chance to hold a real Olympics gold medal, but Kaimai School pupils got to do just that when Gary Robertson - gold medallist in the 1972 Munich Olympics - showed up.
