Emergency services are at a crash in Tauranga.

A fallen street light pole is delaying traffic on a main road in central Tauranga after a car crash this morning.

Emergency services were called after a car hit the pole at the intersection of Cameron Rd and Third Ave just after 7am.

The pole is blocking a northbound lane on Cameron Rd.

The car has considerable damage to the front left axle and debris from the car and the double-light lamppost is scattered across the road.

It was unclear if anyone was injured.
