A street in Blockhouse Bay was cordoned off this morning, as armed police executed a search warrant.

Dundale Ave in the West Auckland suburb is cordoned off.

A witness reported seeing armed police at the scene, about 7am.

By 7.20am he said police had lifted the cordon, but were still at the scene, near Blockhouse Bay Christian Kindergarten.

A police spokeswoman said search warrants were being executed.
