A person suffered minor back injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in crashed on the Lincoln Rd overbridge.

Traffic was backed up for about half an hour after the two-vehicle crash on the bridge, which crosses Auckland's Northwestern motorway, at 7.14am today.

However, police have since cleared the backlog.

Earlier this morning, a person was hospitalised with moderate injuries after a crash at Tuakau about 5.30am.

Northern fire communications shift manager Jaron Phillips says the vehicle rolled on River Rd, near Lapwood Rd.

The driver was the only person in the car.
