Person burnt after fire at Hastings Aerodrome

One person has been hospitalised with burns after a fire at Hastings Aerodrome today.

It is unclear exactly what has happened, but a Fire Service spokeswoman said that a person had been taken to hospital with "minor" burns.

Emergency services were at the scene in Bridge Pa, which is a small airfield about 8km west of Hastings in Hawkes Bay.

A Hawkes Bay District Health Board spokeswoman said the patient was a man aged in his 50s who was in a stable condition.
