A 48-year-old accused of murdering a 20-year-old Blenheim woman last month has been granted bail.
The woman, who has interim name suppression, appeared at the High Court in Blenheim this morning flanked by several supporters.
She was arrested and charged following the discovery of the body at a Blenheim address on May 16.
She was originally detained in custody but has since been granted bail.
This morning during a brief appearance, her name suppression was continued to ensure a fair trial, the court heard.
A case review hearing was set down for September 16.
She will have to enter a plea on that day.
The woman wore sunglasses and was protected by supporters as she left court this morning.
