One injured after truck hits plane at Wellington Airport

A person is injured after a truck hit a plane on a tarmac at Wellington Airport.

A ground handling truck struck the Qantas Boeing 737 aircraft bound to Melbourne from Wellington yesterday afternoon.

The plane was scheduled to depart at 5pm.

A Qantas spokesperson said the flight was rescheduled to depart at 9.50pm.

Engineers were examining the plane.

The spokesperson said there was no impact to services today.
