Police investigating petrol station robbery seek help from pregnant woman

Auckland police are keen to hear from a pregnant woman seen in the vicinity of an aggravated robbery of a service station.

Detective Sergeant John Love of Ormiston Police Station says an armed man entered the Z Service Station on Te Rakau Dr, East Tamaki, about 7.50pm yesterday.

He has threatened the service station worker with a knife before taking off with a small sum of cash and other items before fleeing in the direction of Toreens Rd.

Mr Love says the pregnant woman was pictured as being in the area at the time and he believes she can assist police with their enquiries.
