A woman who went missing in the Lake Coleridge area of Canterbury as temperatures dropped below zero was found late last night.
Police began searching for Elise Davenport yesterday, and a spokesman said a group of 20 search and rescue volunteers would continue the looking for her into the night.
Ms Davenport wandered off about midday Friday following an argument with a friend on the side of the road, police said.
She was found by rescuers shortly before midnight on Lyndon Road.
She was not injured but was taken to a medical facility for health checks.
There were concerns for Ms Davenport's well-being, as she has only recently arrived from England, had no knowledge of the local area and would be facing particular challenges with the temperature in the area expected to get colder overnight.
Police thanked the public for their assistance in providing information.
