Police still seeking armed North Shore pizza shop robber

Police are still seeking an armed man who was caught on camera robbing a North Shore pizza shop.

Police are appealing for the public to help identify the man who assaulted a Domino's pizza staffer on April 11 during a night time robbery.

The man entered the Glenfield store on Chartwell Ave through the back door at 9.35pm.

At the time there were three customers in the store.

The alleged offender had a firearm, police said.

"The man forced one of the employees to open the till and place money into a bag. He then assaulted the employee and fled the store through the back door into Marlborough Park," said Detective Alan Welch.

"Police dogs attended and tracked the man onto Edgeworth Road, where he was witnessed by a member of the public getting into a white vehicle and fleeing the scene."

Police want to hear from anyone may know anything about this incident or who may recognise the man from CCTV imagery.

The man is described as 175-183 cm tall, thin to medium build and wearing dark clothing with black and white Chuck Taylor-style shoes and a black balaclava.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Alan Welch from North Shore CIB on 09 213 7797.
