Is Countdown using thinner bags for packing fruit and vegetables? Twice recently I have tried to put fruit which wasn't heavy into the bags and both times the bags have split at the bottom and the fruit has fallen on the floor.

On my way home from evening church in Orakei, three angels (two men and a daughter) noticed my VW Golf had broken down, having lost power. Not only did they push me to safety, they offered to take me home and ensure the tow company arrived. There are really good people in this world. I thank you so much.

A "please explain" is in order from Auckland Transport after I discovered there is a 11.26pm "ghost train" service from Papakura to Pukekohe on Saturday nights. This service is not listed in the Southern Line timetable and many an evening out in the city has been cut short on the understanding that the last train to Pukekohe departed Papakura at 10.26pm, as per the timetable. Not impressed.

I have just returned home after a very unexpected stay in North Shore Hospital. The treatment I received from the time the ambulance team arrived at our house was wonderful. Along every step of the way the staff without exception were kind, patient and caring. I hadn't realised how much rudeness the nurses have to endure. Some of this can be put down to the illness of patients, but I fear a lot is plain ignorance. The staff just take it and smile, they're all saints! Thank you, North Shore Hospital, where else would you be looked after so well?

Last Saturday we went with friends to Roger Hall's play at the Sky City Theatre. Four ice creams during interval and three hours in the SkyCity car park cost us $65.50. You don't have to go into the casino to lose your money!

A huge thank you to the couple in the blue hatchback with the cute 6-month-old baby boy, who stopped and gave my son and me a ride. He didn't miss his soccer game when my car's clutch gave up 5km out of Waiuku.
