A 14-year-old unlicensed driver is not denying charges over the deaths of two teenage passengers after he crashed a stolen car fleeing police in Masterton.
In the Masterton Youth Court today, the boy stated "not denied" to the charges. This means the boy may now go to a family group conference, where he will have a chance to admit the charges.
He also stated "not denied" to a raft of driving and theft charges relating to the crash, plus historical charges to other crimes.
The boy, 14 when he was charged, has name suppression because of his age.
The crash happened in the early hours of Sunday, January 31 in Masterton.
The boy drove a car, which fled police before crashing into a light pole killing Hoani Korewha and Pacer Willacy-Scott.
