An iconic Mount Maunganui surf shop was saved from fire last night after a shed at the rear of the property went up in flames overnight. The Mount Surf Shop only suffered cracked windows from the heat of the blaze.

There has been a big jump in the number of jobs listed in Rotorua, with Trade Me job listings up 25 per cent for the first quarter on the same time the previous year.
