Police are hunting for a man they say is wanted in connection with a serious family violence incident.
Wellington district police are asking for the public's assistance to locate 46-year-old Richard Fergus Toatoa, also known as Richard Gordon.
He is described as Maori, of solid build and 165cm tall.
The incident occurred in Otaki on December 15, 2013.
He is on active charges of injures with intent to Injure, male assaults female and theft, police said in a statement.
Toatoa is breaching his court-imposed bail conditions and was due to appear in the Palmerston North District Court on February 25 for a trial.
He failed to appear and a warrant was put out for his arrest.
Police have received tnformation of him travelling all over the North Island including Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Horowhenua, Whanganui, Wellington and the Wairarapa areas.
He was last seen in Napier on March 4.
