Appeals for witnesses to South Auckland crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash south of Auckland this week which left a motorcyclist in a critical condition.

The accident -- involving a Honda Ascot car and a Harley Davidson -- occurred on Monday at 4pm at the intersection of Buckland and Tuakau Rds, in Pukekohe.

The bike rider, a 47-year-old man, was taken to Auckland City Hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.

The serious crash unit is investigating the accident.

The police want to speak to anyone who may have seen the accident or either the car or motorcyle shortly before it happened.
