Moving house cuts power to West Auckland homes

A house being transported in West Auckland has clipped power lines, knocking down a power pole and cutting power to homes early today.

A police spokesman said the house was travelling along Hobsonville Rd when it became caught in the lines at about 4am.

Homes in the surrounding Williams and Hobsonville Rds lost power.

Vector is at the scene repairing the damaged pole and lines.
