A Christchurch business struck twice by burglaries of police and military kit is concerned it may have fallen into the wrong hands.

Twin Needle manufacturing company in Phillipstown was burgled in December and again last weekend.

Thieves took up to $20,000 worth of stock.

Managing director Matthew Hobbs said it's not something that can be easily sold on.

He said the worry is that someone who shouldn't use it will find it but he hopes that isn't the case.
