A teenage girl made a lucky escape after her car rolled down a bank in Torbay on Auckland's North Shore.
The crash occurred at around 6pm and the car, a Toyota Starlet, hit numerous trees and landed upside down.
A firefighter at the scene said the lone driver was "lucky to get out" with minor injuries.
"Very fortunately the young lady managed to extricate herself, but as you can see from the distance to the road, it could have been quite different," the firefighter said.

He said the accident was a timely reminder to drive to the conditions.
"Especially on the wet roads and traffic as it is, everyone's rushing off on holiday. So take your time and get there safely."
