A driver lost control of his car this morning, ploughing into a group of five people and seriously injuring two of them.
Two people in the car were also injured.
"All the injured were taken to hospital by ambulance," police said in a statement.
Police said the incident happened about 3.20am in Dominion Rd, Papakura.
Inspector Cornell Klussein of police northern communications understood the car's driver was one of the injured occupants.

Mr Klussein said an investigation was underway.
The road had since re-opened.
The crash comes after a person was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Pt Chevalier, Auckland, last night.
