A quad bike, three motorbikes and a chainsaw have been stolen from Marlborough homes this week - prompting police to issue a warning for residents to lock up their sheds.
Marlborough Police said officers have received several reports of property being stolen this week.
A quad bike was nabbed from a property on Mills Rd and Ford Rd on Wednesday night and a chainsaw was stolen from a neighbouring property, police said.
Three motorbikes were stolen in Kaikoura earlier this week but they have been since recovered nearby, police said.
A large number of tools were also taken from a home in the Mayfield area.
Police said an orange Subaru Imprezza was reportedly driving around in a suspicious manner, but not reported to police at the time.
Sergeant Jason Munro said police would like to hear from anyone who had information about the spate of incidents.
He also urged people to report any suspicious activity immediately.
