Police have found one car involved in a sexual attack in Christchurch this month but are still hunting for the occupants of another vehicle involved in a second attack on the same night.
In the first incident on October 9, a 21-year-old woman was driven to Peacock St at about 10pm where she was assaulted.
Police are still hunting for three males from a white van with dark tinted windows who were involved in the second attack on the same Friday night.
"What is known is that the victim was driven around the central city and sexually assaulted by the three males in the van," Detective Sergeant Jeremy Gunn said.
The victim was able to get out of the van between 10.30-10.45pm on the corner of Armagh Street and Fitzgerald Avenue, he said.
Mr Gunn said she was driven around the central city while the assault occurred.
The victim is still to be spoken to at length and has given no further details about the vehicle or its three occupants.
Gunn urged anyone who can help identify the persons or the vehicles involved in these two incidents to contact him 03 363 7750 or the Christchurch Police on 03 363 7400.
