A body has been pulled out of the Waikato River this morning.
Police are working on identifying the person, Waikato Police District spokesman Andrew McAlley said.
Identifying reports of missing persons is also underway, he said.
A member of the public called police this morning reporting a body floating north in the Waikato River near Comries Ave, Senior Sergeant Damion Rangitutia of the Waikato District Command Centre said.

A police rescue boat was launched, and police conducted the recovery operation from the vicinity of Swarbrick Landing.
The walkway on the east side of the Waikato River was closed.
