One person was cut from a car after a serious crash in south Auckland today.
Emergency services were called to the three-car smash in Manukau just before 9.30am.
One person has been taken to Middlemore Hospital in a serious condition.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Ronwood Avenue and Great South Rd.
Police Inspector Chris Tate said there was car debris on the road and one person had to be cut free by the Fire Service.
Three cars were involved in the crash - which has closed one lane on Ronwood Ave, he said.
"It was quite a busy piece of road. Two northbound lanes have been made into one lane."
Another person received minor injuries in the collision.
St John said two ambulances attended the crash at 9.20am and took one patient to hospital in a serious condition.
