On Orewa Beach among others, why do fisherman with Kontikis and torpedoes set up so far up the beach from the water that people walking have to then walk up the beach and around so as to not walk into the line/hooks?

In March I sent a parcel to the Netherlands for my sister's birthday. She never received it but weeks later it was in our letterbox with a message that the address was incorrect so I had to go back to the Post Office to send it again. When I mentioned it and showed them that it was correctly addressed, they advised me to put in a complaint. I pointed out it wasn't their fault but they still offered to follow it up. They got in touch with my sister and sent me a friendly letter with a book of stamps. Thank you Carol from NZ Post.

Could the person who "accidentally collected" my 6-year-old son's shiny red bike last Sunday, please return it to Dally Tce in Three Kings. My son had ridden his bike to a friend's house and without thinking left it on the grass in front of the house, beside the driveway. It was NOT on the grass verge, it was NOT near the big pile of inorganic rubbish! When he went to ride home again it was gone! Collected by someone in a grey or white van sifting through rubbish. Shame on you. My son cried and cried. If you have a conscience, please bring it back!

To all the people who don't leave their fast food packaging in the carpark after they have eaten, thank you! It is people like you who care enough for the cleanliness of the suburb.

It's about time people stopped dropping litter in the streets when there are ample bins around. A lot of this litter is plastic and polystyrene which in places like Henderson is getting blown into streams and waterways, and could harm fish and bird life. It's scary to think what might be happening in other suburbs near streams or the sea.

Recently I was in Auckland and wish to commend the many kind and generous people who helped me on my travels. I am an older active woman who was travelling alone with a heavy suitcase and many young people in particular helped me. This positive and supportive attitude was much appreciated. Sincere thanks to everyone.
