Police are unable to comment on whether the owner of a bull that caused a fatal accident on the West Coast on Friday will face any charges.
Codey Peter Pink, 23, who recently moved to Hari Hari, crashed into an escaped bull while driving along Wanganui Flat Road last Friday.
Police said the accident happened about 11.30pm when the vehicle Mr Pink was driving, a Subaru station wagon, struck a cattle beast that had strayed onto the road.
He was taken to Grey Base Hospital, then to Christchurch Hospital, where he died on Sunday afternoon.
A 17-year-old passenger was uninjured. The bull did not survive the crash.
Today a police spokeswoman said a crash investigation was still taking place.
She said no decisions have been made as to whether or not the owner of the bull will face any charges.
