A 14-year-old girl was flown to hospital in a critical condition after diving into a Waikato pool yesterday.
The accident occurred at 10.14am at Centennial Pool in Tuakau.
Lifeguards at the pool started CPR following the accident and ambulance staff took over on arrival.
The girl was diving into a 1.4m-deep pool when the accident occurred, Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust spokeswoman Kerrie Spicer said.

She was then flown by rescue chopper to Starship Hospital in a critical condition.
The girl was now in a stable condition and due to be discharged later today, an Auckland District Health Board spokesman said.
