It's a lucky long weekend for two Lotto players from Whangaparaoa and Napier after winning $500,000 each with Lotto First Division.
The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Stanmore Bay Superette in Whangaparaoa and Tamatea Pak n Save in Napier.
Powerball was not struck yesterday evening after a technical hitch caused the draw to take place off air.
Lotteries Commission spokeswoman Emilia Mazur said there was a fault with the machine, after it refused to spit out a winning ball.
The draw went ahead off air under the watch of Audit New Zealand -- and there were no winners.
Powerball jackpotted to $10 million.
Strike Four has also jackpotted and will be worth $400,000 in next week's draw.
Meanwhile, Verna and Steve from Auckland spun and won $200,000 with the Winning Wheel on last night's live Lotto draw.
The Winning Wheel serial number is 344-02416156-20xx from a ticket sold in Mt Maunganui.
