Police are seeking witnesses after an aggravated robbery of a dairy in Tauranga last night.

Detective Sergeant Trevor Brown said a male entered the Bellvue Superette on Windsor Road in Tauranga yesterday about 7.15 p.m. The offender was allegedly armed with a stick and was demanding cash, he said.

The offender was described a male of medium build wearing a dark coloured bandana, oval sunglasses, and a scarf across his face.

He was dressed in a black and white check shirt and dark trousers.


Police said they would also like to speak to three males that were on Princess Road at this time and who are believed to have witnessed this male entering the shop.
