Two men were critically injured when a motorcycle and a car collided at Waihi yesterday.
The crash happened at the intersection of Kenny and Baber Streets, about 8.20pm, a St John northern ambulance communications spokeswoman said.
The injured men were flown by Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter and Auckland's Westpac rescue helicopter to Waikato hospital, TECT rescue helicopter pilot Liam Brettkelly said.
Both men, aged in their 20s, suffered multiple injuries and were in a critical condition.
