A cyclist was knocked off his bike and two vehicles were crashed into by a stolen car fleeing police in Nelson today.
The owner of the Holden Commodore vehicle spotted it being stolen from his Richmond address and contacted police just after 3pm, police said.
An unmarked police car chased the speeding vehicle along Wakatu Drive and into Annesbrook.
The stolen vehicle struck a cyclist in Lower Queen Street, and knocked him off his bike, causing minor injuries, police said.
It then hit two other parked vehicles before the driver lost control and crashed in Scotia Street.
He ran off and was yet to be found, police said.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident as well as anyone who suffered damage to a vehicle as a result of the offending.
