Some stories making headlines across the regions today include: Wairarapa mums and their bubs are looking to break a national record, Tauranga-based AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd is going out on his own, and piles of poo can be seen on footpaths in Napier.

Wairarapa mums and babies are getting ready to help break a national record for the most women simultaneously breast feeding.

Tauranga-based AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd is about to release his first solo album.

A Napier woman is calling for dog owners to pick up after their pets, saying she's seen "piles of poo" on her local footpath.

It was blue then it was red. Now a fence at a prime Rotorua intersection could soon be free of election signs altogether.

And, young Northland musicians hope to send this year's cold, wet winter away on a high note at Whangarei Youth Music's bi-annual concert next month.
