An Auckland man has suffered a broken leg following a hit-and-run incident in West Auckland this morning.
At about 2am the male pedestrian was walking along McEntee Rd towards the Waitakere township, police said.
A passing vehicle travelling in the same direction struck the pedestrian and then continued driving.
The pedestrian sustained a broken leg as a result and was taken to North Shore hospital by ambulance.
Police are looking for a vehicle with some frontal damage which occurred particularly in the last few hours.
They are appealing for anyone with relevant information to forward it to the Serious Crash Unit through their local police station or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
