A cash transit van has been robbed at gunpoint in Auckland.
Two staff members were robbed around 12.15pm today while delivering money to an ATM machine at the Massey Pharmacy at 396 Don Buck Road, Massey, police said.
Two masked men - one holding a gun - confronted the staff as they were inside refilling the ATM.
The men were wearing dark clothing and had balaclava-type masks covering their faces and heads, police said.
The staff were threatened with the gun and had their cash bags taken. The two staff members were both shaken but not injured, police said.
The offenders fled on foot to a waiting car believed to have been driven by a third man. The vehicle, a 2002 Mazda Premacy car was stolen earlier today.
It was found abandoned around 10 minutes later in a car park on Westgate Drive, behind the ANZ bank, about 2 kilometres from the robbery scene.
Police said they were hopeful someone may have seen three men leaving this car and getting into another at around 12.25pm.
