The ticket that won an Auckland man $33 million has gone display on a purpose-built plinth under a glass dome at the Ponsonby store where he bought it.
Lotto New Zealand installed the winning Lotto Powerball ticket at the One Step Ahead store so people could see for themselves what a life-changing piece of paper looked like.
A fortnight ago, the self-proclaimed "Westie" became the largest ever individual Powerball winner when he claimed his $33 million prize with the ticket.
"This life-changing yellow piece of paper is a unique piece of Lotto history" said Emilia Mazur, Lotto corporate communications manager.
One Step Ahead had been buzzing with the news that the big winner was sold there.
"We've had so many people come in and ask about the big winning ticket," said owner Gary Ashton.
"Many of our customers are keen to touch it for good luck when they buy their own Lotto tickets."
