Upper South Island shaken awake by Seddon quake

The upper South Island was rattled by a magnitude 4.3 earthquake this morning.

According to GeoNet, the "moderate" quake occurred 30km north-east of Seddon at a depth of 15km at 7.27am.

GeoNet received 211 "felt reports" as far north Dannevirke near Palmerston North and as far south as Dunedin.
