Voting documents for the 2013 local body elections will start arriving in Auckland letterboxes tomorrow.
Ballots must be returned by noon on election day, Saturday October 12, with the recommended last day to post on Wednesday, October 9.
Electoral officer Bruce Thomas urged Aucklanders not to leave their vote until the last minute, and to use the website voteauckland.co.nz for information on candidates.
"The website has profiles of all 470 candidates standing for mayor, governing body, local boards, district health boards and licensing trusts.
"It also has key information on the voting process and how people can make sure they don't miss out," Mr Thomas said.
Aucklanders who don't receive voting papers by Wednesday should check they are enrolled by going to elections.org.nz or calling 0800 36 76 56.
Those who register by Friday, October 11 will still be able to cast a special vote at one of 12 voting locations.
