Man's body recovered from Auckland stream

The body of a man has been recovered from an Auckland stream this afternoon.

Police said they needed help to identify the man, whose body was pulled from Huruhuru Stream in Henderson at 4pm.

Police believe he drowned.

The man was described as Asian, about 60 and of medium build.

He was wearing a brown zip-up jumper, blue denim jeans and white New Balance sports shoes.

Anyone with information was asked to call Detective Sergeant Murray Free at Waitakere police on 09 839 0653.
