A Rotorua 18-year-old has appeared in the Rotorua District Court charged with assault.
The teenager, who was granted interim name suppression, appeared before a registrar today.
He did not enter a plea to the charge and was remanded to reappear on March 21.
He was represented by Max Simpkins, who was acting for lawyer Bill Lawson.
The teenager declined to talk to The Daily Post "at this stage" when approached outside court.
