West Coast road closed after truck crash

The road at Springs Junction on the West Coast was closed for about two hours this morning as the result of a truck crash overnight.

The truck went off the road at midnight and a crane had to be called in this morning.

There were no injuries.

Yesterday, a Westport man was flown to Greymouth after his motorbike and car collided on the Lewis Pass.

The Solid Energy Rescue Helicopter was called out and he was treated for concussion and rib injuries.
