Police seek witnesses of attack, robbery in Wellington

Police are calling for witnesses after a man was attacked and robbed in Wellington in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 51-year-old man suffered minor injuries when he was assaulted and robbed by two women and a man on the Basin Reserve end of Cambridge Tce between midnight and 2.30am last Friday.

The male offender is described as Maori, between 35-40 years old and of medium to stocky build.

He was with a European female described as being 25-30 years old with long brown hair, blue eyes and of average build. She was wearing a red sleeveless dress.

The other female attacker is described as Maori, 25-30 years old with black tattooed lips and a moko on her chin. She was wearing a white beanie.
