All Blacks star Dan Carter and his wife Honor are expecting their first child.
The first-five tweeted this morning: "Thought it was time to share our exciting news.. @HonorCarter is 21 weeks pregnant! We are both very excited about being parents #BabyCarter".
Honor also shared the news on Twitter.
"Time to share our exciting news... @DanCarter & I are expecting our first child! I am 21 weeks & we are both very excited :) #BabyCarter"
Carter is currently in London preparing for the All Blacks test against England at Twickenham on Sunday.
Honor Carter is a former Black Sticks hockey representative.
The couple married in December last year.
The pair met through university friends in 2000 and started dating a couple of years later.
Sara Tetro, who is an agent for both Mr and Mrs Carter, was happy for the pair.
"@DanCarter @HonorCarter veddy exciting news. That's got to be a good thing for the future of NZ sport! congrats #babycarter" she wrote on Twitter.
