Police are calling for witnesses to a suspicious fire that seriously damaged a patrol car parked in Hamilton on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to the fire in the car park of East Hamilton Police Station in Clyde St about 8.15pm and arrived to find the car well ablaze, said Sergeant Shelly Begbie.
A side window of the car had been smashed and a forensic examination showed an accelerant was used to ignite the fire, she said.
A number of people at the scene and a man who captured footage of the fire and uploaded it to YouTube had been spoken to by police.
The man who loaded the video was not believed to be involved in the fire, said Sergeant Begbie.
Anyone who saw a white four-door car or has information about the fire is asked to contact Hamilton Central Police Station on 07 858 6200 or anonymously call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
