A woman who died in a Northland crash yesterday, which injured eight others, can now be identified.
She was Ans Mansveld, 75, from Auckland.
She was in a van which rolled down a hill north of Dargaville about 4.20pm.
Eight other elderly people were injured, none seriously, and were discharged after being checked at Dargaville Medical Centre.
There were 10 people in the van, including the driver, who was uninjured.
Police said the vehicle was travelling towards Dargaville when it failed to take a right-hand bend.
Northern fire communications shift manager Colin Underdown said when emergency services arrived, seven people were trapped in the van.
The police serious crash unit is investigating.
