Two people have been charged over a boating accident death last January on Lake Ohakuri, southwest of Rotorua.
A 36-year-old Rotorua truck driver died January 2 when the boat skippered by the two charged collided with a sea biscuit the truck driver was being towed on.
Both have been charged with an offence under the Maritime Transport Act .
It deals with the use of any vessel in a manner to cause unnecessary danger to people or property.

They will appear in the Rotorua District Court on July 2.
Police say it's up to individuals to take the relevant water safety precautions for their own and others' safety.
