Armed police have arrested four people in a raid on a known drug house in Grey Lynn.

A police team, including several Armed Offenders Squad members, executed a search warrant at the Tuarangi Rd house at about 8am this morning.

They arrested two men and two women on charges relating to the possession and cultivation of a class C drug, police said.

One of the arrested men was already due to appear in court today to be sentenced on previous charges, including possession of class C cannabis for supply, supplying a class C drug, setting a man trap, and theft of electricity.

Police spokeswoman Noreen Hegarty said the man owned the house and was at the "centre" of the alleged drug offending.

The Tuarangi Rd house was first raided by police last August.

It was hit by an arson attack on Thursday after a couch was soaked in an accelerant and lit with a candle in a carport.

Residents on the street complained after the attack about the house being used as a tinnie house and brothel.
