A section of Auckland's North-Western motorway that was closed after a digger being transported by a truck hit an overbridge at Royal Rd has been reopened.
Police said the Royal Rd on-ramp is now open to city-bound traffic and the North-Western is open to traffic in both direction.
The Royal Rd bridge is also open but with a 30kmh speed limit to minimise structural vibration.
The digger crashed into the Royal Road overbridge at 11:44am.
